Iron On Iron - Young Mens Bible Study

The aim of this group is the same as that which Paul wrote to Timothy when he said, “The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith”(1 Tim 1:5). This is the overarching goal of every meeting we have together.

 Young men (16-40) in church today can very easily tend to drift away, not be connected to the body and as a result their faith largely suffers. We will not grow as God intends us to in the local church if we are lacking the experience of community, comradery and life-giving fellowship that comes from the local body. By God’s grace we are devoted to being men in full pursuit of knowing Christ, obeying his commands, and growing in the holiness without which none shall see Him. 

One of the benchmark verses that inspired this group to begin meeting was 2 Timothy 2:22. “So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart”. Like-minded brothers who have this same goal and focus in life are a gift from God! Come and grow with us! We pray that every time we gather, one man sharpens another just as iron sharpens iron. This is all so that God would be glorified in our lives and we would be changed into the image of His Son more and more! 

Practically these times will consist of group Bible memory activities, Bible reading, Bible teaching, prayer, group conversations about the passage for the evening, and hymn singing. These are sweet times of fellowship for all.  Please come out to participate in the joys of brotherly fellowship centered around the Word of God!
