AWANA: Rooted in Scripture, and knowing Christ

This is a Christ-centered discipleship program designed to help kids know who God is, understand His deep love for them, and learn how to develop a personal relationship with Him through the Lord Jesus Christ. Each club night is filled with meaningful activities that help build faith, character, and lasting friendships.

A typical evening includes:

  • Handbook Time – Clubbers recite and discuss Bible verses they’ve studied throughout the week, hiding God’s Word in their hearts.
“I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” – Psalm 119:11
  • Game Time – A fun, high-energy period where kids engage in team-based games that promote unity, sportsmanship, and joy.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” – Galatians 5:22–23a
  • Council Time – A large-group teaching session where biblical truths are shared, helping children apply God’s Word to everyday life.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16

AWANA’s age-specific groups:

  • Cubbies (ages 3–4)
  • Sparks (K-2nd grade)
  • T&T – Truth & Training (3rd-6th grade)
  • Trek (7th-9th grade)

There are no mandatory dues to participate in AWANA. However, if you are able, we encourage families to pay for books and uniforms at the time of registration.

This can be done through a separate AWANA payment site, identified by a red AWANA logo, which is available in the Discovery App. If you're unsure where to find it, volunteers are happy to assist at check-in.

Additionally, when your child receives a new book, they will also be provided with a slip of paper that includes a QR code that will direct you to the payment app which will make payment easy and convenient.

Please note: Payments made through the AWANA payment app are not eligible for charitable tax deductions. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to support the AWANA ministry, you may do so through the Give link in the Discovery App, or by placing your gift in an envelope marked “AWANA” and depositing it in the offering box located at the back of the sanctuary.

If the cost is a hardship, please don’t hesitate to reach out—financial assistance is available through the church.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
